How to Clear a cPanel account and Start Fresh
Note: We recommend creating a full backup before doing this (
click here for a guide). Just note that if you need this restored, charges may apply. You can also use our automated backups to restore your site to an earlier date (
click here for a guide).
Step 1 -
Log into cPanel and open the
File Manager tool.
Step 2 - Navigate to the
public_html folder.
Step 3 - Once inside the public_html folder, click
Select All then click the
Delete option.
Step 4 - Tick the
Skip the trash box and click Confirm.
Step 5 - From the cPanel home screen, select
Subdomains./p>
If you find any Subdomains listed, click
Remove.
Step 6 - Repeat Step 5 for
Aliases and
Addon Domains.
Step 7 - From the cPanel home screen, select
MySQL Databases.
Step 8 - Delete all databases listed.
Step 9 - Scroll Down and delete all the
Users.
Step 10 - From the cPanel home screen, select
Email Accounts.
Step 11 - Delete all the email accounts. There will be one email account with your cPanel username - this is the default email account and can be ignored.
Step 12 - From the cPanel home screen, select the
Forwarders and
Filters sections respectively and delete any fields listed there.
