Reset the Root Password for my VPS


Note: Resetting the root password will reboot the server. Please ensure you are not actively working on the server when you change the password.


Step 1 - Log into your Client Area and select Active Services.

Step 2 - Select the Options icon then View Details next to the server in question.

Step 3 - Click on 'Change Password'.

Step 4 - Enter in a new password and then select Change. Ensure this password is strong as per strongpasswordgenerator.com, and that you do not reuse a password from anywhere else.

You will be prompted to confirm the change: Once confirmed, your root password for your VPS will be updated.
