How to Check and Release Emails caught by the SpamExperts Mail Filter

For our Shared and Reseller hosting we include the SpamExperts mail filter. For other hosting, you will have Spam Assassin instead. Spam Assassin will route emails like this directly to a Spam folder.

Step 1 - Log into cPanel and click on Professional Spam Filter.

Step 4 - You can check for specific emails manually, or use the 'Query Rules' to narrow down your search. Select '+ New Rule', then specify the Sender, Recipient, Subject or another option.

To remove an email from quarantine and send it to its destined email inbox, click on the Arrow to the right of it then click either:

1. Release - This will deliver the email as normal.
2. Release and Train - As well as releasing an email, this will look at the email's contents and train Spam Experts to better detect that similar emails are not spam.
3. Release and Whitelist - This will release an email and whitelist the sending email address. Any further emails from that email address will not go through authentication checks.
4. Remove - This will delete the email from the quarantine. Note: This isn't strictly necessary as emails in the quarantine are automatically deleted after 2 weeks.
5. Remove and Blacklist - As well as deleting the email, this will automatically quarantine any future emails from the sending email address.

If you have multiple emails you want to perform one of these specific actions for, just tick the box to the left of each email then scroll down to the bottom of the screen, select the action you want to take and click Apply.
